How does it work?
A Friendship (membership) costs €7.50 per year. Do you live outside the Netherlands? Then you pay €10 per year. This gives the Friend access to the details of all Guest Addresses.
What is Vrienden op de Fiets?
For decades, Vrienden op de Fiets has been connecting bikers and hikers (Friends) with welcoming Guest Addresses. Simple lodging. Genuine encounters. That’s what it’s all about. You never know whose doorstep you’ll cross - or whose will cross yours. That’s the adventure.
Vrienden op de Fiets doesn’t have a booking system - you make contact with each other directly. We believe in our values and have a few house rules. Together, we hold these in high regard. Would you like to go on a multi-day trip, or do you have a spare bed? Feel free to join in.
The Guest Adress welcomes the Friend
Anyone who has a spare place to stay*, enjoys meeting sports enthusiasts, and likes to make breakfast can become a Guest Address. It's free.
The Friend arrives at the Guest Address under their own steam at the end of the day and pays a fixed price for a place to sleep and breakfast. After breakfast, the Friend sets off again, well-rested. It’s that simple.

Vrienden op de Fiets is a nonprofit foundation. The contribution for the overnight stay is an expense reimbursement and goes directly to the Guest Address. To avoid any misunderstandings: Vrienden op de Fiets is not a hotel or a budget B&B. There are no reviews, star ratings, or luxury. Friends are guests in the home of welcoming residents. The Guest Address rules apply here. We keep it simple and fun.
