And then it was spring...

Cycling and hiking season is starting, and suddenly you find yourself thinking...

How did it work again?

Just a matter of trust

Reviews on the site? Photos? Online booking? Vrienden op de Fiets is different.

As a Guest Address, you never know what to expect. The same goes for Friends. And that’s exactly what most of you love so much: the adventure.

One night, a chatty couple stays with you, and you have deep conversations. The next time, a lone cyclist arrives exhausted and just wants some peace and quiet. Both are fine.

Vrienden op de Fiets is a community built on personal connection, mutual trust, and respect. In practice, this works very well, in our experience.

Do you ever have a bad match?

Of course we do. It can always happen that you don’t like a Friend—or their behavior. The big advantage? They’ll be gone by tomorrow morning.

If you have a less-than-ideal experience, try to resolve it together. Is it really disappointing? Read here how we handle complaints.

Fortunately, Vrienden op de Fiets rarely disappoints.

That’s a matter of more than 40 years of trust.

Just a matter of brushing up...

After a long winter, now might be a good time to refresh your memory. That’s why we’ve included the answers to a few frequently asked questions ansd the basic rules for Guest Addresses and Friends below.

Always a good idea...

When Friends contact you to arrange a stay, it’s helpful and wise to ask for a few details. Suppose you suddenly have to leave or get home later than expected... it can always happen, right?

That’s why...

  • When you first get in touch, ask for the Friend’s number, name, phone number, and the date they want to stay, and let them know right away what you’re charging.
  • Ask a few follow-up questions too. Like: Are you going hiking or biking? How long will you be gone in total? And what’s your multi-day route?
  • And finally: always ask for confirmation via email or text, or send it yourself.
